Brewed By: Brouwerij Verhaeghe

Duchesse De Bourgogne is like an entry level Belgian Sour, but is actually a Flanders Red Ale meaning that it is from the Province of West Flanders, Belgium. This beer is brewed with roasted malts and utilizes hops with a low bitterness. Once it ferments, this deep red-brownish ale is matured for many months in Oak Casks leaving a heavy cranberry tartness, and an aroma of balsamic vinegar. (Not as weird as it may sound.) If you like Sour Ales, chances you'll like this. It is a fairly well known delicious beer that is sure to impress your beer lover friends. All this being said, I'm classifying this under the "Sour" category. If you want to be mad at me, please don't!
